mtmusic is a home grown family friendly business offering tuition in piano, guitar, ukulele, music theory and percussion. Based in Unley and teaching from several locations around Adelaide, we also deliver music and percussion workshops to schools, community spaces and remote regions. Our premise is to provide an accessible, comprehensive and fun approach to music education for students of all ages and interests.

Students may learn privately or in small groups. Regular concerts take place as well as various workshops, master classes and the opportunity to sit AMEB exams. Alternatively, students may wish to develop a repertoire and produce a CD of their work. The senior teacher at mtmusic holds an Associate and Licentiate (A.Mus.A. and L.Mus.) on Pianoforte and is also a member of the Accompanists Guild of South Australia, offering service as an Accompanist.

Guitar and ukulele are taught with a focus on learning songs; group lessons are particularly effective for this type of learning. Individuals with intention of developing technique in classical, folk, rhythm, electric or acoustic styles may also receive private tuition.

mtmusic plays host to The Percussion House, a trio of local percussion artists who provide and deliver African drums for percussion workshops in schools, offices, community centers and groups of people, locally or in remote regions. African and Latin rhythms are taught during a 6 – 10 week series of classes, or as a 1 day event, involving a short performance.

At mtmusic a multi-skilled approach is employed to obtain best results, meet the various needs of budding musicians and maintain the fun, essential to learning music.
